The winter of 1996 in Hokkaido, Mr Fukuda and Mr Furuhashi met each other on the trip of desiring for snow. They skied in the mountain of Daisetsuzan National Park, feeling the splendor of over-head powder snow, and decided to move to Hokkaido determinedly.

After spending 3 years (1 year in Hokkaido, 2 years in Canada) only skiing, he launched the backcountry tour section at Hokkaido Adventure Tours and worked as a guide for 7 seasons.

In the winter of 2008, he established a backcountry guide "Yukinoko" in Minamifurano, Hokkaido.
